I had on of those wait-a-minute moments today. One of those pauses where something really hits home.
This morning Dr. Drummond told me that she has been invited to chaperone a trip to Israel next May. I was looking through the brochure, vaguely thinking how Israel with Dr. D could be fun, but also telling myself that I didn't want to take the class required for the trip next semester. I handed the brochure back to Dr. D and went on with my day.
It wasn't until I got home several hours later that it hit me:
I won't be at NGU next semester. The class for the trip didn't even matter. Because this is my last semester.
It's true.
Sure, I've been lamenting the fact for weeks. But I don't think it became real--really real--to me until today.
It was just one of those moments that stops you in your tracks.
